Mechanical Engineers : Reason For Not Getting Jobs In Market

Mechanical Engineers: Struggling For Jobs

Indian economy is categorized into 3 sectors — Agriculture, Manufacturing and Services.
1)Agriculture sector includes Agriculture & Livestock, Forestry & Logging and Fishing related activities.
2)The industry includes 'Mining & quarrying', Manufacturing (Registered & Unregistered), Electricity, Gas, Water supply, and Construction.
3)Services sector includes 'Trade, hotels, transport, communication and services related to broadcasting', 'Financial, real estate etc.
According to CIA Factbook  sector wise Indian GDP composition in 2018 are as follows:
Agriculture: 16.8%
Industry: 28.9%
Serices: 46.6%
Sector Wise Job Distribution.

So, as far as my understanding goes the Mechanical Engineers which are incorporated in the industrial sector contributes to 28% of India’s GDP. Whereas service sector industry has seen a dramatic soar from 33% to 46%, thus we also see a hiring spree in service sector industry for example in IT, banking and other respective industries that fall under this category. And the same kind of employment creation is something which is the manufacturing sector devoid of.
As the share of the Industry, the sector has seen a surge over the past decades, it was not able to match the number of mechanical engineering graduates passed in a single year just creating a less demand more supply condition. And to create jobs for each of them seems to be an onerous task.
As we have seen that various manufacturing companies are filing for bankruptcy. And the cheap manufactured products from China has worsened the case.
